Men is a great hub!, but for my own, I'll like to say that from all of then, Jason Becker is my favorite. Not only for his sound and perfomance, but also for his talent and achivements in a so short period of time, even ill. I'll be publishing a Hub for Him soon, steek to my Hubs. =D

Rory Gallagher is the best on there aside from Page, Beck, Clapton, Young,Robin Trower is great too. Most of those I haven't heard of. Nice list though! Your missing Nancy Wilson she's better than lita ford.

I'm so glad Prince is mentioned as a rock guitarist. I know some people don't classify him as being that, but if you ever saw him in concert...that man can jam like no other! WOW! Great list! :)

Townshend 54? He influence rock and punk. He coined the term "power chord". Could it be argued that he started hard rock? Wasn't he pretty much the first guitarist to actually use distortion. . .regularly and as part of the music? Isn't the windmill perhaps the most imitated guitar move? Pete's rhythm guitar playing is second to none. His lead is among the best. 54? He's certainly higher than that.

I must say that I am glad to see Gary Moore receive the ranking he deserves though. He was simply great.

Decent list. Of course like everyone else I would move people around massively. For instance I would say EVH should at least be 2 based on your criteria, and even though Jeff Beck gets a lot of kudos from guitarists you rarely hear his music. On the other hand it's your list.
